The Ally level training provides an introduction to the problem of sexual violence, a brief overview of advocacy and response at Georgia Tech, and a foundation of basic information needed to continue in the Advocacy Training and Volunteer Program.  Through discussions and scenarios, we will explore concepts such as consent, power and control, bias, and the Georgia Tech Policy on Sexual Harassment and Misconduct. You will also learn about options for continuing education and involvement with the VOICE Initiative to address and end sexual violence in the GT community.

Attention Campus Runners

WRC Road Runners

The WRC (Women's Resource Center) Road Runners meet throughout the semester, 6:45 a.m. or 5:15 p.m.

Experience not necessary! Whether you’re a novice or elite walker/runner the WRC Road Runners will be meeting monthly to exercise while building community. Join us for a brisk lap around campus on the Pi Mile Trail. We’ll have various pace groups, so don’t worry about finding someone to walk.run with! We will also have light, healthy refreshments at the WRC afterwards. GT Women’s Rafting and Camping Trip

Mandatory Class Thursday, September 25, 6 to 7:00 p.m.
Trip Friday and Saturday, September 26-37, 5:00 p.m. to next day 7:00 p.m.
$25 students, $35 non-students, includes guides, transportation, gear, and lunch

Come join us for an “all women” adventure! If hanging out with a bunch of like minded Georgia Tech women, having fun, roasting marshmallows, camping, and rafting a class IV river sound like fun then this trip is for you! Join us for this fun filled adventure.

At the class session, we will teach you about trip logistics, proper clothing, and answer any questions you might have. Although good swimming skills in fast moving white water are essential, no rafting or camping experience is required. We will teach you everything about camping and rafting that you need to know.

This trip is sponsored by outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech (ORGT) and the Women’s Resource Center. Each Fall, the Center for the Study of Women, Science, and Technology (WST) and the Women’s Resource Center join in efforts to welcome new women faculty and staff to campus. We also take this opportunity to recognize some of the women student leaders involved in our programs and other women’s organizations. This is a great networking reception, especially for graduate students to meet women faculty and administrators.

This year, both the Women's Resource Center and the Center of the Study of Women, Science and Technology (WST) are celebrating our 10th anniversaries at Georgia Tech!
