Each year five women from the Georgia Tech community are honored as “Women of Distinction” at the annual Women’s Leadership Conference at Georgia Tech. Women are nominated in the following categories: alumni, faculty, staff, undergraduate student and graduate student.
Please nominate a woman from your area! This is a great way to foster and recognize women’s leadership in your college or department. In addition, the student recipients will also receive a $1,000 scholarship.
The 2008 Women of Distinction included:
Outstanding Faculty Member: Ayanna Howard, Ph.D.
Outstanding Staff Member: Amelia Gambino
Outstanding Alumna: Patrise Perkins-Hooker
Outstanding Graduate Student: Joanna Hass
Outstanding Undergraduate Student: Andrea Trillo

Nominations are due by Monday, September 21 and can be found online at www.gtwlc.com
The conference will be held October 23-24 at the Georgia Tech Student Center. Registration begins September 18.
