Book Arts I Workshop
Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 10:00 am – 3:30pm
This five hour workshop is the first of a two-part bookmaking experience and is designed for book enthusiasts and teachers.
Join Marcia Watt, expert papermaker and book artist, for a day of creative bookmaking. Participants will learn to make a 3-dimensional book structure, called a Carousel or Star book.
All materials will be provided, but this structure can be adapted to your personal taste and style, so you are encouraged to bring your own small images or design elements.
Teachers can earn 1 PLU credit by signing up for this workshop and the five hour Book Arts Workshop II Saturday, March 7th, 2009. Please check with your local professional learning coordinator to receive credit.
Cost: $80.

Book Arts II Workshop
Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 10:00 am – 3:30pm
This five hour workshop is the second of a two-part bookmaking experience and is designed for book enthusiasts and teachers.
Join Marcia Watt, expert papermaker and book artist, for a fun-filled day of bookmaking. Participants will learn to make a Flag book, which is easy to make and perfect for displaying both images and text. All materials will be provided, but this structure can be adapted to your personal taste and style, so you are encouraged to bring your own small images or design elements.
Teachers can earn 1 PLU credit by signing up for this workshop and the five hour Book Arts Workshop I Saturday, February 7th, 2009. Please check with your local professional learning coordinator to receive credit.
