Filming educational events on campus

I recently used the EPAGE Lecture Recording Service for the first time. You can see the results here: http://smartech.gatech.edu/handle/1853/24018

I requested the service through their online "Lecture Recording Request Form" (http://epage.gatech.edu/video_recording_service/request.php)

They confirmed by e-mail, and sent an e-mail to the speaker to request permission to film him (Stephen Fleming, in this case).
A film student showed up an hour before the event, set up his camera, checked the sound quality, etc. The next day they asked me for the slide show presentation that was used. I e-mailed it and it is now posted along with the video.
Two weeks later the edited video was posted on the EPAGE website. GT will host the video - so it is accessible to the public. Easy as pie.
This service is available FREE on campus for educational, academic, and scholarly lectures, conferences and symposia.
From their website: EPAGE@Tech, a GT library-managed service, will provide a digital platform to disseminate GT-produced knowledge rapidly to information users at any time, in any Internet-ready location they reside, and will preserve that knowledge digitally for future learners to come.
Pros:
Free (we sometimes pay $400 for a similar service)
Easy, Simple, Convenient
Automatically adds the video to the permanent GT collection
Public access to the video
Cons:
No streaming live video
Two week wait to see the completed video
Only for educational, academic, and scholarly events

How often do you need to film educational events on campus?
