Joseph M. Pettit Alumni Distinguished Service and Honorary Alumnus

The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for the Joseph M. Pettit Alumni Distinguished Service and Honorary Alumnus Awards, and would like you to give consideration to the process. The award recipients are honored at the Alumni Association’s annual Gold & White Honors.

Nominations for the Distinguished Service Award are based on an individual’s outstanding support of the Institute and the Alumni Association throughout a lifetime. These nominees have provided strong leadership in their chosen profession and local community. The most recent recipients of this award are Gary Jones, A.J. Land, Roe Stamps and Michael Tennenbaum.

Honorary Alumnus Award nominations are based on an individual’s service to the Institute in an outstanding manner. The most recent recipients of this award are Jeanne Ferst, Joanne LeCraw, Dot Poole, Marilyn Somers and Carolyn Stewart.

If you know of someone who you believe is eligible and deserving of either of these honors, please send his/her name with a brief description of his/her qualifications for the award to Jolie Rosenberg (jolie.rosenberg@alumni.gatech.edu or fax 404.385.3023).

Nominations for the aforementioned awards must be received by August 22.

Nominations for two additional awards are also being accepted: Dean Griffin Community Service and Outstanding Young Alumnus Awards. The nomination form for these two awards can be found on line at gtalumni.org/awards. The deadline for these two awards is October 24.
