College Business Management Institute (CBMI) -- July 27 to August 1, 2008

You may have heard the acronym CBMI from some of your colleagues and wondered just what they were talking about.

The College Business Management Institute (CBMI) , sponsored by SACUBO (the Southern Association of College and University Business Officers) and the University of Kentucky, is a week-long summer institute held annually in Lexington, Kentucky on the UK campus. CBMI offers an intensive course of study in business and financial management for administrators of colleges and universities (public and private, large and small). Individuals participate in 28 hours of instruction each summer for three years to earn a certificate of completion.

This year's (56th Annual) CBMI will be held July 27 - August 1, 2008.

Business officers and administrators representing hundreds of colleges and universities of every size and description participate in CBMI. It is a great way to learn about higher education administration as well as get to know your peers and colleagues.

Next year's CBMI will be held July 26 - July 31, 2009

Hello All,

Also note that I will be presenting at this year's conference. The topic will be on The Importance of Customer Service in Higher Education. It is a great opportunity to present on a topic unique to CBMI and one that is relevant to any college or university. I am excited about the opportunity.

Hope to see some of you there!
