The Georgia Tech Event Coordinators' Network is sponsoring a workshop to provide you with information you don't want to miss. Nationally-recognized campus event expert April Harris will lead us through topics and discussions that will focus on the unique challenges of planning events in an academic environment. April is the associate vice president for Advancement at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and is the author of four books including the CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) best sellers, Special Events: Planning for Success; Etiquette and Protocol: A Guide for Campus Events; and Academic Ceremonies: A Handbook of Traditions and Protocol. She will lead sessions on successful event planning, etiquette for special events planners and staging a professional show.
